Mei Shyuan (Shenny) Chiou is a Premier Artist with Marimba One. She won second place in the first International Classical Marimba Artist League Competition and performed in the festival in Minnesota. She also won first place in the category: “Percussion and Other Instruments” at the Italy PAS Percussion Competition. She has established the Composite Duo with saxophonist Parker Fritz and they have started to perform six mallet chamber music at Universities in the US.

She have been giving guest artist recitals with Composite Duo and masterclasses as well as Day of Percussion at many universities across United States including; Michigan State University, Wayne State University, Western Michigan University, Eastern Michigan University, Ball State University, University of Central Missouri, Northwest Missouri State University, University of Kansas, Central Michigan University, Interlochen Arts Academy, Oakland University, University of Maryland, University of Michigan, Bowling Green State University, University of Central Florida, State University of New York at Fredonia, University of North Alabama, Pittsburg State University, Wichita State University…etc. As an artist in US, she have more universities booked from Fall 2025 until Spring 2028 and she am excited to keep sharing six mallet technique and new music she have been working on.
